Description

You will design, implement, and maintain Sybase database infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

On-site role in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Sybase clusters, failover, and hot standby configurations.
• Provide L1, L2, and L3 production support, including system monitoring and alerting.
• Configure and manage Enterprise Failover Manager or similar technologies to ensure maximum availability.
• Lead system and SQL performance tuning to optimize database efficiency.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on database design, schema changes, and application enhancements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Hands-on experience with Sybase open source.
• Strong proficiency in UNIX and Linux Shell Scripting.
• Experience managing RDBMS environments including Oracle and MS SQL Server.
• Proven track record in architecting and supporting HA/DR solutions.
• Experience installing, monitoring, and maintaining database software.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to integrate business processes with various data sources.
