Description

You will manage and support Sybase database environments in a 24x7 rotational shift schedule.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Sybase database infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
• Provide production support, including system monitoring, alerting, and maintenance.
• Set up Sybase clusters and support HA/DR solutions.
• Execute shell scripting for automation on UNIX/Linux systems.
• Install, monitor, and maintain software across the database environment.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Sybase ASE and Sybase IQ.
• Proven experience in production support and database monitoring.
• Experience with Sybase open source.
• Working knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL Server.
• Strong UNIX and Linux shell scripting skills.
• Ability to work 24x7 rotational shifts (8 AM–5 PM, 4 PM–1 AM, or 12 AM–9 AM).
• Any graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Sybase clusters and HA/DR solution design.
