Description

You manage Sybase database environments across production and UAT instances, ensuring stability and timely delivery of changes.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage database and device creation, along with user management within Sybase environments.
• Execute database refreshes from production to test servers, including cross-platform migrations from Unix to Linux.
• Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
• Troubleshoot Sybase server issues and resolve technical bottlenecks in production and UAT.
• Follow established change processes and methodologies using BMC Helix and ServiceNow.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Sybase DBA.
• Hands-on experience with Sybase 15.x and 16.0.
• Experience managing databases on AIX servers.
• Proficiency in performing cross-platform refreshes (Unix to Linux).
• Experience using BMC Helix and ServiceNow for workflow management.
• Proven ability to handle production and UAT environment troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of database backup and recovery implementation.

• Any Graduate degree.
