Description

You will lead the migration of Sybase databases to SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime. You will manage the end-to-end process, from source extraction to target configuration and validation.

Responsibilities

• Execute Sybase to SQL Server migration projects, including schema translation and data movement.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and Java utilities to automate ETL processes and data reconciliation.
• Perform integration and application testing to verify post-migration object and data accuracy.
• Configure and optimize the target SQL Server database environment for performance and stability.
• Integrate CyberArk for secure access management during the migration lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience with Sybase ASE.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server administration and configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Practical knowledge of ETL tools and data loading strategies.
• Proficiency in Java for utility development and automation.
• Experience with application and integration testing methodologies.
• Industry certification in Sybase or related database technologies is mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
