Description

Manage Sybase database environments with a focus on stability, recovery, and capacity management.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Handle database alerts and resolve support tickets via SNOW.
• Perform root cause analysis for all database outages.
• Manage database backup and recovery processes, including rebuilding databases in the event of failure or corruption.
• Monitor and manage database connectivity, log file clean-up, and space usage.
• Identify engine capacity limits and manage resource constraints.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in Database Backup/Recovery.
• Proficiency in managing DB connectivity.
• Experience with DB log files clean-up.
• Hands-on experience with DB space usage management.
• Ability to perform database restores and rebuilds.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in any graduate field.
