Description

You will manage and optimize on-premises and cloud infrastructure to ensure maximum system uptime.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Monitor on-premises and cloud environments using Grafana, Zabbix, and native cloud monitoring tools.
• Configure and manage cloud services including Compute Instances, Block Volumes, Object Storage, VCNs, and Load Balancers.
• Provision and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform scripts.
• Automate routine operational tasks using Bash, Python, Perl, or Ruby scripting.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and changes through ServiceNow ITSM.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in system administration across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Strong Linux/Unix fundamentals including file system troubleshooting and kernel/OS tools (sed, awk, grep, lsof, strace, ps, top, atop).
• Hands-on experience with cloud services: Compute, Block Volumes, Object Storage, Networking (VCNs, Subnets, Security Lists, DRG), and Load Balancers.
• Proficiency with Terraform and cloud CLI for infrastructure provisioning.
• Experience managing web servers such as Apache, Nginx, BIND, Exim, and Dovecot.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, TCP, and UDP.
• Knowledge of storage solutions including RAID, DAS, SAN, and NAS.
• Familiarity with firewall tools like iptables, CSF, and LFD.
• Experience with MySQL database servers and ServiceNow ITSM.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automation and scripting in Python, Perl, or Ruby.
