Description

Manage physical hardware infrastructure and OpenShift environments within a data center setting.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain hardware infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and network devices.
• Execute datacenter migrations by coordinating stakeholders, documenting processes, and minimizing downtime.
• Design, implement, and support OpenShift environments in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Perform regular hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure system performance.
• Monitor system performance to identify bottlenecks and implement optimizations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a System Admin and Data Center Engineer.
• Proficiency with OpenShift environments.
• Strong knowledge of hardware management for servers, storage, and network devices.
• Proven experience planning and executing datacenter migrations and risk mitigation.
• Hands-on experience with system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with industry-standard security practices and compliance requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Previous work experience within Verizon or other service provider organizations.
