Key Skills: UNIX AIX, Linux

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Administer UNIX and AIX environments with a focus on operational stability and secure configuration.
• Perform Red Hat Linux 6.x and 7.x administration, including troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
• Execute OS patching and upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and validated rollouts.
• Resolve BAU issues across servers and support incident remediation through to closure.
• Provide on-call and out-of-hours support for production systems and escalations.

Skills Required:

• 4 - 8 years of systems administration experience in UNIX/Linux environments
• UNIX and AIX administration
• Red Hat Linux 6.x and 7.x administration
• OS patching and upgrades experience
• Scripting with Bash or Python for operational tasks and automation

Good to Have:

• Capacity management experience
• Experience managing full application stacks from the OS through custom applications
• Experience supporting large, complex multi-server, multi-vendor, multi-technology infrastructures
• Knowledge of other Unix flavors such as Ubuntu
• Red Hat certification

Education: Relevant degree (or equivalent practical experience)
