Description

You will manage network integrity and security infrastructure to ensure continuous operational availability in Brooklyn, NY.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and communication systems.
• Design system specifications for hardware, network, storage, and software configurations to meet security requirements.
• Develop detailed test plans to evaluate vendor claims and normalize results across different security technologies.
• Perform root cause analysis and detailed log analysis to resolve network and security outages.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal MIS staff to plan security requirements for new projects and enhancements.

Required Skills

• Minimum 4 years of experience with routing, firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and SIEM technologies.
• Minimum 4 years of experience deploying VoIP technologies and wireless systems in large environments.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in network troubleshooting and root cause analysis for outages and slowdowns.
• Minimum 4 years of experience using automated or custom tools for testing and analyzing network infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Networking, Troubleshooting, and SQL.
• Ability to develop technical documentation, including structured diagrams for WANs and firewall configurations.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with both technical staff and non-technical agency stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Graduate degree in a relevant field.
