Description

You will maintain, upgrade, and support a large Linux enterprise system infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage system infrastructure, including databases, testing equipment, and associated software and hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, performing system monitoring and performance tuning.
• Regularly upgrade system software and firmware across the environment.
• Test and build new and existing servers and assist in integrating new applications.
• Respond to support requests, including after-hours incidents.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with Linux operating systems.
• General understanding of IP networks, switching, subnetting, and VLANs.
• Experience administering Enterprise Linux.
• Knowledge of system security concerns and vulnerabilities.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (any Linux language).
• Experience with RH Directory Server or FOSS alternatives.
• Ability to build and maintain servers.
• Understanding of hardware including Servers, Blade Chassis, and SANs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cloud Environments and architectures under Kubernetes orchestration.
• Familiarity with GitLab and Puppet.
