Responsibilities
Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure.
Monitor network performance, availability, bandwidth, and system health.
Troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and VPN issues.
Configure and manage VLANs, TCP/IP, NAT, routing, and network security.
Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Perform server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance.
Manage user accounts, permissions, security groups, and access policies.
Support firewalls and site-to-site/remote-access VPN solutions.
Monitor infrastructure using network and system monitoring tools.
Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, network, and application-related issues.
Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
Coordinate with ISPs, network providers, hardware/software vendors, and third-party support teams.
Maintain network diagrams, infrastructure documentation, configurations, and asset records.
Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and implementation projects.
Provide Level 2/Level 3 infrastructure support and resolve incidents within established SLAs.
Identify potential infrastructure issues proactively and recommend improvements.
Required Skills
4–7+ years of experience in System Administration / IT Infrastructure.
Strong hands-on experience with LAN/WAN environments.
Solid understanding of:
TCP/IP
DNS/DHCP
VLANs
Routing & Switching
NAT
VPN
Firewalls
Network troubleshooting
Experience with Cisco, Aruba, HP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos, or equivalent technologies.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
Experience with Group Policy, user administration, and server troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments is a plus.
Experience with backup, patch management, endpoint security, and disaster recovery.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
CCNA / Network+
Security+
Microsoft Windows Server / Azure certifications
Fortinet, Palo Alto, or other firewall certifications
Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments.
Contract-to-Hire Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be willing to work in New Jersey based on the client's onsite/hybrid requirements.
Must be comfortable with a Contract-to-Hire/C2H arrangement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as with infrastructure and IT support teams
