Description

You will manage and maintain server infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments within a control system framework.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows (2008-2019) and Linux (RHEL 7.X, 8.X, 9.X) server environments.
• Manage the full physical server lifecycle, including provisioning, maintenance, decommissioning, racking, and cabling.
• Maintain virtualized environments using VMware and Hyper-V, including VDI and Horizon View.
• Ensure security compliance with NERC CIP standards through regular patching, auditing, and remediation.
• Provide tier-3 engineering support and participate in the on-call rotation for control system infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in system administration.
• Expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and ADFS.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, vRealize Suite (vRA, vRO), and Horizon View.
• Proficiency in managing Nutanix and Hyper-V virtualization.
• Strong capability in PowerShell scripting and task automation.
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory infrastructure, including replication, Group Policies, and domain controller recovery.
• Experience with MS clusters, load balancing, and high availability/disaster recovery environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and coordinate with OEM vendors for break-fix and migrations.
• Understanding of data center operations and physical hardware management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NERC CIP compliance frameworks.
