Description

You will manage server infrastructure and own the maintenance of a Yii1.1 application environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat and Ubuntu servers, including regular patching and security configurations.
• Manage the Yii1.1 application on Apache web servers, handling updates, bug fixes, and performance optimization.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using Bash or Python scripting.
• Monitor server performance, system logs, and network security to respond to incidents.
• Maintain backups, disaster recovery plans, and relational database optimizations for MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in System Administration and Application Ownership.
• Deep expertise with Red Hat and Ubuntu Linux distributions.
• Hands-on experience with the Yii1.1 framework and PHP programming.
• Proficiency in Apache web server management and MVC architecture.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience implementing security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Competency with Git version control and relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
