Description

Manage server infrastructure and support the implementation of laboratory information management systems and high-performance computing devices for genomic sequencing.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, and network equipment including routers and switches.
• Administer VMWare infrastructure, specifically vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and system security measures such as backups and data protection.
• Automate administrative tasks through scripting and perform platform software upgrades and failover testing.
• Monitor system performance, gather metrics, and develop architectural diagrams and procedure documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in system administration.
• Hands-on experience with VMWare infrastructure (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi).
• Experience managing server hardware and operating systems.
• Proficiency in managing routers, switches, and network equipment.
• Ability to write scripts for automating administrative tasks.
• Experience with system monitoring, patching, and software upgrades.
• Capability to conduct audits and perform failover testing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
• Background in high-performance computing for genomic sequencing.
