Description

You will manage and maintain IMS environments to support business and application requirements.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, patch, configure, and manage IMS v15.x environments.
• Apply IBM recommended RSU maintenance and perform ACB swaps.
• Design new IMS DB environments and configure IMS-DB2 and IMS-CICS connectivity.
• Execute IMS backup, restore, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Manage logs, database structures, compression, and fine-tune memory based on workload.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in system administration.
• Hands-on experience with IMS v15.x.
• Deep understanding of IMS-DB2 and IMS-CICS connectivity.
• Experience managing DBD, PSB, and ACB.
• Proficiency in log management and database compression techniques.
• Ability to review buffer allocation and perform memory fine-tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in any graduate field.
