Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced System Administrator with strong expertise in VMware and Cisco UCS to manage and support enterprise infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in virtualization, server hardware, and data center operations, along with strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage VMware environments including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
Deploy and manage Cisco UCS C-Series and B-Series servers (e.g., C220 M6)
Maintain and troubleshoot server, virtualization, and storage infrastructure
Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of data center systems
Configure networking (NICs, VLANs) and storage connectivity (FCoE, iSCSI, SAN)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (VMware, OS, Networking) for seamless operations
Support incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and enhancements
Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures
Follow ITIL processes, including DR (Disaster Recovery) and BCP (Business Continuity Planning)
Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles
4–5 years of hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
5+ years of experience managing Cisco UCS hardware and environments
Strong understanding of server hardware (CPU, memory, storage, adapters)
Experience with Cisco IMC and/or UCS Manager
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with enterprise data center environments
Exposure to automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python) is a plus
Understanding of cloud or hybrid infrastructure is an advantage
