Description

Design and implement secure, scalable data transport and storage platforms using Azure cloud and modern data ecosystems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design data-intensive applications, data lakes, and data warehouses that translate non-functional requirements into scalable distributed systems.
• Create architectural blueprints and diagrams visualizing data storage, access, and delivery through connected components.
• Integrate data from multiple sources to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with data governance policies.
• Lead technical decision-making by articulating design trade-offs, building remediation roadmaps, and mentoring the engineering team.
• Apply software engineering principles and design patterns to build scalable systems and improve existing architectures.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a System Architect or in a similar technical leadership role.
• Deep expertise in Azure cloud services, specifically cloud-based data storage and processing.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Spark, or Scala.
• Strong background in Big Data, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Solid understanding of networking principles and web application architecture.
• Experience implementing data security, privacy principles, and data governance.
• Ability to utilize data analytics, statistical analysis, and machine learning algorithms.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data streaming technologies such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools including Tableau and PowerBI.
