Description

You will own the design, development, and maintenance of API solutions and policies using Apigee.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and troubleshoot Apigee proxies, flows, and security layers.
• Install, test, and upgrade Apigee installations, managing Apigee OPDK at the operational level.
• Automate Apigee activities including proxy deployment, configuration updates, log collection, and health monitoring.
• Build and support APIs throughout the full lifecycle within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Collaborate on requirement analysis, code reviews, and release delivery.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software development and maintenance experience.
• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot for REST API service development.
• Hands-on experience with Apigee API Gateway, including Edge components and management APIs.
• Deep knowledge of Apigee OPDK (On-Premise Gateway).
• Experience building Apigee custom policies using Java and JavaScript.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, OAS (Open API Specifications), and REST API security models.
• Working knowledge of HTTP/S, PKI, and SSL.
• Experience with Apigee traffic management, mediation, extension policies, and custom analytics.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CloudBees, Ansible, and Coverity.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with Git, Maven, BitBucket, Jira, Confluence, Postman, Swagger, and JMeter.
• Experience working in Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and software packaging.
