Description

You will develop and maintain core systems using Java and associated technologies, focusing on microservices, API integration, and legacy system modernization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Deploy and manage API proxies using MuleSoft Flex Gateway.
• Integrate services across DB2, SOAP, Mainframe, and REST endpoints.
• Document complex processes by reverse-engineering source code (COBOL, Java, Lotus Notes) into business-friendly terms.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot for microservice development.
• Hands-on experience creating Open API specifications for REST standards.
• Familiarity with COBOL, Lotus Notes, and SOAP integration patterns.
• Experience deploying API proxies on MuleSoft Flex Gateway.
• Knowledge of integrating with DB2 and Mainframe systems.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Experience working with Azure Cloud environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with legacy mainframe systems and COBOL.
