Key Skills: COBOL/400, COBOL, Mainframe Cobol VSAM JCL DB2, Shell Scripting, Mainframe Support, Linux, UNIX, IBM MQ
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Write, test, and debug COBOL programs.
- Use JCL for batch processing and job scheduling.
- Develop and maintain DB2 databases and SQL queries, including support for CICS online applications.
Skills Required:
- 5 - 10 years of mainframe development experience
- Strong experience in COBOL and COBOL/400 (IBM i) development.
- Hands-on expertise with VSAM, JCL, DB2, SQL, and CICS.
- Experience in mainframe application development and support.
- Knowledge of batch processing and job scheduling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education: Relevant degree (or equivalent experience)
