Description

Manage and optimize large-scale HPC enterprise environments with thousands of servers and complex storage solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Linux-based operating systems including RHEL, CentOS, and Rocky Linux.
• Maintain computer hardware including servers, tape drives, robotic tape libraries, GPGPU, SSD, and disk arrays.
• Investigate, debug, and diagnose system-level issues to ensure environment stability.
• Evaluate HPC system environments to recommend improvements for performance and manageability.
• Provision and manage cloud instances, build images, and write installation scripts across GCP and Azure.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in large HPC enterprise environments.
• Proficiency with RHEL, CentOS, and Rocky Linux.
• Experience with IBM xCAT distributed computing management software.
• Knowledge of networking and datacenter technologies including Ethernet, Infiniband, and Fiber Channel SAN.
• Hands-on experience with HPC storage such as HPE ClusterStor, NetApp, Dell Isilon, or Pure Storage.
• Skill in writing and troubleshooting Bourne, Bash, C Shell, Perl, Python, Ruby, and MRTG scripts.
• Experience with Ansible and Terraform for configuration management.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL installation and support.
• Experience with containerization and backup tools like IBM Spectrum or Dell Networker.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Linux security and endpoint security tool configuration.
