Description

Support data center consolidation through infrastructure automation and systems engineering.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Automate infrastructure delivery using configuration orchestration and management solutions.
• Apply operating system hardening practices and standardized image templating for deployments.
• Implement Java application servers including JBOSS EAP and Tomcat.
• Manage compute virtualization using VMware and converged storage via Pure Storage.
• Perform incident triage, including scope determination, impact assessment, and service restoration.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or UNIX Shell Scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows systems.
• Experience implementing Java application servers like JBOSS EAP or Tomcat.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
• Experience with VMware virtualization and Pure Storage solutions.
• Understanding of coding practices and software engineering principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with middleware solutions such as IBM MQ, Kafka, or Confluent.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD (GitLab, Jenkins), and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
