Description

You will manage the deployment and lifecycle of virtualized network functions within a telecommunications environment.

Responsibilities

• Deploy 4G and 5G Network Functions using VMware and OpenStack VIM technologies.
• Create OpenStack HEAT orchestration templates (.yaml) for VNFs and instantiate VMs in private cloud environments.
• Validate SIP/diameter call flow scenarios including e911, feature interop, and node upgrades for CSCF, TAS, and SBC.
• Perform analysis on customer network systems, cybersecurity protocols, and legacy system migrations.
• Develop and program prototypes using Python and Perl scripting.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in system engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python and Perl scripting.
• Hands-on experience with VMware and OpenStack VIM technologies.
• Experience with OpenStack-based Virtual Network Function (VNF) creation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of ETSI-MANO Architecture, including NFVI, VIM, VNFM, and orchestration modules.
• Ability to manage installation and maintenance of Windows virtual servers.
• Experience configuring web servers and deploying Kubernetes clusters.
• Familiarity with Nokia NetAct EMS VNF instantiation and OSS/BSS integration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with JAMF Connect and transitioning away from VPN-based password syncing.
• Knowledge of OpenStack HEAT orchestration and YAML templates.
