Description

Own the maintenance, integration, and extension of code within the IBM iSeries (AS400) environment. You will build, test, debug, and modify programs while supporting internal operations and data conversions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug programs using RPGLE, ILE RPG, RPG FREE, and CL/CLP/CLLE.
• Maintain and integrate new functionality into existing, potentially undocumented codebases.
• Create program documentation and descriptions to assist users and future maintenance.
• Perform data conversions to and from the IBM iSeries.
• Support the internal helpdesk with technical issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as an iSeries Programmer Analyst.
• Deep knowledge of legacy code including RPG, RPG II, and RPG III.
• Proficiency in AS400 and IBM Power technologies.
• Experience developing interactive, batch, and module programs.
• Ability to work with flat files.
• Knowledge of DDS, SEU, SDA, PDM, subfiles, and data structures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

• SQLRPGLE, embedded SQL, DB2/SQL, and STRSQL.
• Experience with ICS Formsprint, Move Star/Easy DPS, or KeyesMail.
• EDI mapping and configuration skills.
