Description

Develop software tools and automated tests to ensure the stability of embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Create command line, OS, and web tools for restore, kickoff, status, triage, and reporting.
• Design and write automated stress and stability hardware-centric software tests for embedded systems.
• Maintain existing test and reporting software to support thousands of devices with minimal downtime.
• Identify, reproduce, and isolate bugs using debugging and performance analysis tools.
• Report issues following established bug reporting methods and testing guidelines.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in automation development within HW/SW test engineering.
• Proficiency in Python for automating low-level and user-level UI.
• Strong knowledge of Unix and Unix shell scripting.
• Experience with web and database technologies including MySQL, PHP, jQuery, HTML5, CSS.
• Ability to follow software development processes including pull requests and unit testing.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills for inter-departmental coordination.
• Shell Script, Python, Unix.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to troubleshoot hardware systems to the component level for root-cause analysis.
• Experience developing web-based automation frameworks and database design.
