Description

You will own production management, incident response, and automation for client-facing applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage production services including end-user support, systems monitoring, incident management, and event management.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues to ensure optimal performance and usability.
• Identify and implement automation to reduce toil, improve efficiency, and eliminate customer impact.
• Provide root cause analysis with recommendations for improvements and configure custom monitoring solutions.
• Drive outage calls, coordinate communications with financial controllers and IT groups, and act as the primary escalation point.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in system reliability or production engineering.
• Strong coding and scripting skills in Python, Perl, or Shell (any two).
• Deep understanding of database concepts, SQL queries, and database performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling tools like Autosys.
• Good understanding of infrastructure (Windows/Unix), networking concepts, and protocols.
• Experience with highly distributed, high-availability, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, and OTEL.
• Experience with CI/CD and configuration management tools like Git, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and System/Site Reliability Engineering principles.
