Description

Optimize reliability, maintainability, and safety parameters for brake control LRUs and systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical RM&S work for mechanical and electronic equipment.
• Prepare and review safety documentation, including FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis, Hazard Analysis, and System Safety Analysis.
• Support generation and verification of safety requirements.
• Evaluate system functions and design against technical specifications.
• Liaise with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure project delivery.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years.
• Experience generating safety engineering documentation: REL, FHA, PSSA, FMES, and SSA.
• Knowledge of aircraft system safety requirements (CFRs/FARs, ACs, TSOs, MPS, and ARP-4761).
• Familiarity with requirements management databases like DOORS.
• Understanding of the system development V-Model, including design, integration, and testing.
• Familiarity with RM&S standards including MIL-HDBK, DEF-STAN, and MIL-STD.
• Knowledge of Aerospace Qualification and Certification (ARP4754A, DO-178B/C, DO-254, DO-160G, ARP4761, AS8584, ARP1070).
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and aircraft mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of aircraft braking system development.
