Description

You will review system-level safety analysis documents for compliance with internal standards. You will translate findings into probability requirements using fault tree and numerical probability analysis methods. You will perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and common cause/mode analyses. You will collaborate with stakeholders to establish shared goals and technical paths forward. You will provide technical feedback and coaching to cross-functional groups.

Responsibilities

• Review system-level safety analysis documents for compliance with internal standards.
• Apply fault tree and numerical probability analysis methods to derive probability requirements.
• Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and common cause/mode analyses.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish shared goals and technical paths forward.
• Provide technical feedback and coaching to cross-functional groups.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in system safety engineering.
• Experience as a system-level design engineer (e.g., avionics, fuel systems, or flight controls).
• Proficiency with ARP4754(A) standards applied to System Safety Assessments.
• Expertise in Fault Tree Analysis and numerical probability analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Knowledge of common cause and common mode analysis methods.
• Strong technical writing skills for clear and concise documentation.
• Practical knowledge of Safety Engineering and Reliability Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in electrical, aerospace, or computer engineering.
• Specific knowledge of propulsion, interior, or avionics systems.
