Description

Review system-level safety analysis documents for aircraft systems, propulsion, and interiors.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Review system-level safety analysis documents prepared by commodity teams.
• Apply ARP4754(A) standards to system safety assessments.
• Perform fault tree and numerical probability analysis to translate findings into probability requirements.
• Conduct failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) and common mode analyses.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish shared safety goals and technical paths forward.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in system safety.
• Experience as a system safety engineer or system-level design engineer (avionics, fuel systems, flight controls, etc.).
• Working knowledge of ARP4754(A) standards.
• Proficiency in fault tree analysis and numerical probability analysis methods.
• Experience with failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) methods.
• Experience with common cause and common mode analyses.
• Strong technical writing skills for clear and concise documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in electrical, aerospace, or computer engineering.
• Specific knowledge of propulsion and interior systems.
