Description

You will build, optimize, and maintain software for government IT projects, specifically supporting Water Quality/Safety Information Systems.

You will design and optimize complex SQL statements and stored procedures to ensure system performance and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using ASP.NET, .NET, and C#.
• Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for efficiency and reliability.
• Support and configure Water Quality/Safety Information Systems in a government environment.
• Implement and manage service/help desk ticketing workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on software modification and maintenance.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software development, engineering, or related fields.
• 8+ years of experience building and optimizing SQL statements and stored procedures.
• 3+ years supporting Water Quality/Safety Information Systems, preferably in government.
• Proficiency in ASP.NET, .NET, and C#.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SDWIS, Water Quality Exchange (WQX), SWIFT, and DW–SFTIES.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat and Java.
• Familiarity with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards and processes.
