Description

You will manage software system development, maintenance, and upgrades in a mainframe environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Perform software system development for upgrades and maintenance.
• Provide break/fix support and bug repairs for software and systems.
• Develop maintenance documentation for coding changes and resolutions.
• Execute quality assurance and testing for all code changes.
• Provide coaching and knowledge transfer to support personnel regarding system functions.

Required Skills

• Senior-level COBOL programming experience, including upgrading COBOL versions and managing compiler changes.
• Proficiency with DB2 for z/OS, including schema changes and project-related database input.
• Experience with VSAM data manipulation using IDCAMS.
• Proficiency with Sort, SyncSort, and ICETOOL.
• Experience programming with JAVA on the mainframe.
• Knowledge of CICS for maintenance and updates within existing environments.
• Experience using Easytrieve reporting software to manipulate data from DB2 and PSDs.
• Proficiency with REXX development on the mainframe.
• Experience using PanValet for version control.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing complex mainframe environment updates.
