Description

You will own the administration, optimization, and operational health of enterprise monitoring infrastructure across on-premises and Azure cloud environments. Your focus is reducing noise, ensuring coverage, and enabling rapid incident response through precise tool configuration.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain SolarWinds (NPM, SAM) for network and server monitoring, managing polling agents, alerts, and dashboards.
• Administer New Relic APM and Infrastructure monitoring, tuning application performance tracking and alert thresholds.
• Manage Azure Monitor resources, including Metrics, Log Analytics (KQL), Application Insights, and Action Group integrations.
• Tune alert thresholds to minimize false positives and validate monitoring coverage against SLA requirements.
• Support P1/P2 incident response by analyzing logs, validating alerts, and integrating ServiceNow for automated ticketing.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of systems administration or monitoring engineering experience.
• Expert-level administration of SolarWinds NPM and SAM, including SNMP/WMI configuration.
• Strong proficiency in New Relic for APM and infrastructure alerting and dashboarding.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and integration tasks.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with ServiceNow for incident management and alert forwarding.
• Understanding of monitoring protocols: SNMP, WMI, and HTTP APIs.

Preferred Skills

• Basic KQL query skills for Azure Log Analytics troubleshooting.
• Experience with ITSM integration and webhook-based alerting.
