Description

Lead the upgrade of IBM Workload Scheduler from version 9.3 to 10.1, owning the assessment, design, and implementation across Test and Production environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessment and design review sessions to finalize high-availability, Active Directory integration, and licensing recommendations.
• Install, upgrade, and integrate IBM Workload Scheduler, managing Domain Managers, Agents, and certificates.
• Maintain existing configurations, jobs, and schedules while integrating with PeopleSoft and related systems.
• Develop and document as-built configurations, operating procedures, and best practices.
• Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to Information Systems staff on job scheduling infrastructure.

Required Skills

• At least three years of experience directly implementing or upgrading IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) environments.
• Hands-on experience with IWS 9.x and/or 10.x.
• Proficiency in scripting using Perl and PowerShell.
• Experience with IWS, VLANs, firewalls, and DNS.
• Ability to analyze complex data processing problems and recommend technical solutions.
• IBM Workload Automation Implementation or IBM Certified Deployment Professional certification, or equivalent demonstrable knowledge.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in computer science, data processing, or a related field, or equivalent years of related experience.
