Description

You will manage system health, security, and performance across on-premises and AWS cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage application server provisioning and patching using Ansible for on-premises and AWS infrastructure.
• Maintain load balancing and throttling rules for network traffic across NLM IT and AWS environments.
• Develop and maintain CloudFormation, AWS Config, and AWS Lambda scripts for application servers.
• Administer application platforms including Python, Java, Ruby, Node, and PHP on CentOS Linux.
• Manage approximately 2500 firewall rules and perform system backups and recovery to ensure SLA compliance.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a systems administrator in heterogeneous environments (UNIX, Linux, Windows, virtualization).
• Strong Linux OS administration skills, specifically with CentOS.
• Expertise in AWS Cloud Operations at the AWS Certified Professional level.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash, PowerShell, and Python or Ruby.
• Experience provisioning and administering Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, Python/Django, and Ruby on Rails.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, TLS, and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Nagios, JSON, XML, and YAML.
• Ability to translate architectural design documents into operational infrastructure.
• Experience working within FISMA-Moderate architected infrastructures.

Preferred Skills

• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Server+ certifications.
