Description

You will manage application server provisioning and infrastructure automation across on-premises and AWS cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Automate application server provisioning and maintain Ansible playbooks for patching and configuration.
• Develop and maintain CloudFormation, AWS Config, and AWS Lambda scripts for cloud operations.
• Manage load balancing and throttling rules for network traffic on NLM IT infrastructure and AWS.
• Administer application server platforms including Python, Java, Ruby, Node, and PHP on CentOS Linux.
• Research and implement continuous security improvements and automated patching for application servers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in systems analysis, architecture, and design.
• Expertise in Linux server administration, specifically CentOS.
• Proficiency in scripting with Shell (BASH, KSH, TCSH) and either Python or Ruby.
• Experience provisioning Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, Python/Django, and Ruby on Rails applications.
• AWS Cloud Operations experience at the level of an AWS Certified Professional.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Nagios.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols including TCP, DNS, FTP, TLS, and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Experience working with data formats such as JSON, XML, and YAML.
• Proven ability to translate architectural documents into operational infrastructure and "as provisioned" documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience applying Kanban agile methodology to daily workflows.
• Experience working within FISMA-Moderate architected infrastructures.
