Description

You will oversee the installation, configuration, and administration of client and server systems including Microsoft Windows Server, Windows clients, Linux, and Microsoft Exchange.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, covering hardware, systems, and applications software.
• Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software, and operating systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Diagnose hardware and software problems, replace defective components, and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Travel to client locations to set up systems, perform feasibility studies, and train users.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in system administration and infrastructure management.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Windows Server, Windows clients, and Linux/Unix.
• Experience administering Microsoft Exchange and SQL Server.
• Proficiency with VMware servers and Veritas Cluster Server.
• Knowledge of Symantec NetBackup for data protection and recovery.
• Ability to write Unix scripts for automation and maintenance.
• Willingness to travel nationally for short-term and long-term projects.
