Description

You will manage and maintain UNIX and database servers to support high-performance websites and large-scale distributed data processing.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain UNIX and underlying database servers.
• Plan and coordinate network and data communication between hardware and software for Sun Solaris based systems.
• Support the efficient distributed processing of large datasets.
• Perform duties under supervision at various client sites across the USA.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Sun Solaris administration.
• Strong experience with Unix administration.
• Experience managing underlying database servers.
• Ability to coordinate data communication between hardware and software components.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field with 6 months of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications, or Engineering with 5 years of progressive work experience.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to unanticipated client sites within the USA.
