Description

Manage IT infrastructure, network components, and system availability for on-site operations in Madison, Mississippi.

You will own the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server, Linux, and hardware environments. You will implement security measures, manage user accounts via Active Directory, and maintain virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V. Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, executing disaster recovery procedures, and maintaining network infrastructure such as switches, routers, and firewalls. You will also participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
• Implement security measures including patches, updates, and access controls.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory Group Policy.
• Perform regular system backups and execute disaster recovery procedures.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Proficiency in networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory and user management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with scripting languages including PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience managing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Linux+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or CCNA.
