Description

You will manage Unix operating system technologies and automate software lifecycle management for OS components, support software, and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Automate software lifecycle management for operating system components and configuration management.
• Identify toil within operating systems to drive efficiency.
• Apply analytics on historical incident data and patterns to predict and proactively resolve issues.
• Execute regular systems administration tasks and maintain system stability.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience with Unix operating system technologies.
• Expert knowledge of AIX LVM, LPAR profile creation, and PowerVM administration.
• Proficiency in AIX OS installation via NIM and NIM automation.
• Experience with Power Systems firmware upgrades and HMC administration.
• Strong automation skills using Ansible, Python, Aria, and Unix scripting.
• Hands-on experience with AIX and VIOS network administration including Ethernet, VLANs, TCP/IP, 802.1q, vSwitches, and SEAs.
• Competency in SSH/SFTP client/server administration and NFS client/server administration.
• Knowledge of LDAP client administration and SUDO configuration.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Ability to perform AIX performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
