Description

You will manage lab automation, virtualization, and network infrastructure to ensure reliable operation of testing environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage lab automation using the Spirent Velocity platform.
• Build and maintain VMware ESXi environments, including clusters, resource pools, and shared storage.
• Design tools to mitigate network outages and create monitoring dashboards for server and network health.
• Develop automation scripts in Python based on user requirements.
• Administer LDAP/Active Directory and enable remote access via SSL VPN and RDP/VNC.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a System, Network, or Lab Administrator.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu) administration.
• Strong VMware administration skills, including virtual machine provisioning and guest OS support.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP Layer 2 networking (STP, LACP, MCLAG/VCP, VLAN trunking).
• Experience with routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP) and common network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, LDAP, SNMP).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Arista switches.
• Python scripting for automation and tool development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Spirent Velocity, TCP Replay, IXIA, or Spirent Test Center.
• Working knowledge of firewalls and VMware networking (DvSwitches).
