Description

You will maintain and support the Outage Management System (OMS) and associated in-house applications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, support, and optimize mission-critical core applications and vendor products.
  • Implement new patches, configuration updates, and code migrations across Development, Test, and Production environments.
  • Develop and support in-house applications that interact with vendor products.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues by tracing log files, Kornshell scripts, and PL/SQL.
  • Document step-by-step deployment processes and maintain detailed records of issue resolutions.

Required Skills

  • 9+ years of experience in the analysis, design, programming, and implementation of information systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux environments and scripting (Kornshell or Bash).
  • Deep experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Developer or similar database tools.
  • Experience with Python, Perl, or .NET development.
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Proficiency with Apache/IIS web servers.
  • Ability to manage version control using Git or TFS.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in the utility industry or with Electric Distribution Systems.
  • Knowledge of BizTalk middleware, IBM MQ, or Weblogic.
  • Experience with GIS/Mapping applications.
