Description

The Department is seeking a Systems Administrator professional with the following minimum qualifications (these qualifications must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks):

• Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Related work experience will be considered.

• Minimum five years of IT work experience in systems administration, collaboration platforms, information governance, or security/compliance technologies.

• Minimum five years of experience working across multiple IT and business functions, including security, compliance, legal, and records management.

• Minimum three years of experience defining procedures for monitoring, evaluating, diagnosing and establishing work plans to resolve system issues.

• Minimum three years of troubleshooting for complex hardware, software and network problems.

• Ability to work on multiple projects as a project team member, project leader, and coach more junior technical staff.

• Experience with the administration, configuration, security, and governance of the organization’s SharePoint Online content services, and Microsoft Purview.

C. Deliverables/Tasks

The Systems Administrator key deliverables include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Administering and maintaining SharePoint Online, and related Microsoft 365 collaboration services, including configuration, permissions, site structures, and integrations.

• Ensuring secure and compliant access to enterprise information by managing security groups, sharing policies, and platform governance standards.

• Administering Microsoft Purview solutions, including data classification, sensitivity labels, data loss prevention (DLP), retention policies, and compliance alerts.

• Monitoring and analyzing data protection events, audit logs, and policy violations.

• Coordinating remediation with business and security teams.

• Supporting the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, content lifecycle processes, and compliance controls.

• Conducting periodic audits of permissions, data access, and compliance posture to ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

• Providing Tier 2/3 support for collaboration and information governance platforms, resolving complex technical and security‑related issues.

• Developing documentation, governance materials, and training resources for users, site owners, and business units.

• Participating in planning and executing platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.

• Ensuring systems operate efficiently and securely
