Description

Architect and support mainframe database environments and data synchronization methodologies across multiple platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Support developers working with COBOL, JCL, and SQL using common z/OS facilities.
• Perform system performance analysis, tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity planning for z/OS DB2.
• Design methodologies for data synchronization from operational data stores to data warehouses across varied DBMS platforms.
• Develop streamlined processes for z/OS software upgrades and maintenance.
• Act as a technical liaison between Data Management, business customers, and application development teams.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience installing and configuring z/OS DB2 V11 or higher on IBM z/OS mainframe.
• 8+ years of experience monitoring system performance and implementing tuning measures for z/OS DB2.
• 8+ years of experience managing mainframe database maintenance, including reorgs and statistics.
• 8+ years of experience documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• 8+ years of experience conducting capacity planning and forecasting for z/OS DB2 environments.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and SQL.
• Experience using z/OS DB2 Database Management Tools, specifically Omegamon and Detector.
• Experience interfacing between z/OS and LUW DB2, Cognos, Identity Insight, and DataStage.
