Description

You will design and maintain complex enterprise IT infrastructure supporting state transportation systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage approximately 500 statewide Windows and Linux VMs and physical servers.
• Administer, repair, and upgrade Dell/EMC Unity 480F, Isilon Gen4–Gen6, and VPLEX Metro/VS2 storage systems.
• Troubleshoot MDOT streaming video infrastructure utilizing Wowza and NGNIX caching.
• Execute data migrations of 100TB+ across 300M+ files using scripting tools.
• Ensure data center failover response within one hour on a 24x7 basis.

Required Skills

• 8+ years experience with Department of Transportation oversize/overweight vehicle permitting rules and enforcement.
• 8+ years experience with commercial vehicle regulations, registration, and permitting processes.
• 8+ years experience with architecture and implementation of CVIEW and ITD/CVISN Level 1 compliance.
• SME level expertise in Visual FoxPro 6/7 for maintenance of the Automated Permit System.
• Advanced scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Batch, and PowerCLI.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux administration, including Oracle Linux.
• Advanced experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter, including HA and DRS configuration.
• Intermediate proficiency with Oracle 12c–19c and Oracle RAC environments.
• Advanced experience with Cisco UCS and HPE DL/BL blade systems.
• Advanced knowledge of security hardening, IDS/IPS, and PKI/CA management.
