Description

You will design and develop AT/CVT transmission systems, including synchro pack design and calibrations. You own the full lifecycle from concept to detailed design, ensuring quality and adherence to project milestones.

Responsibilities

• Conduct design reviews for transmission system architecture and layouts.
• Perform analytical calculations for gears, shafts, shifting systems, and bearing selection.
• Prepare detailed part print manufacturing drawings, define tolerances, and create assembly/service manuals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
• Evaluate materials for transmission components based on performance, cost, and manufacturability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical transmission design.
• Proficiency in AT/CVT transmission systems.
• Expertise in GD&T, DFMEA, DFA, and stack-up analysis.
• Experience with Bill of Materials (BoM) and Engineering Change Management.
• Proficient in Kisssoft and Romax software for drivetrain optimization and simulation.
• Functional understanding of heat treatment, gear cutting, and technical design documents.
• Experience with sheet metal, pipe, and hose design.

Preferred Skills

• Communication and presentation skills.
• Project management software proficiency (UG NX, PLM, Team Centre, MS Office).
