Description

You will own the development and deployment of Java-based microservices on AWS, integrating frontier AI tools into the engineering workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot microservices.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS EKS using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Integrate AWS services including S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Configure IAM roles and IRSA for secure pod-level permissions in EKS.
• Utilize AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Amazon Q, Kiro) to accelerate development.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Java development experience.
• Expert knowledge of Spring Framework: Core, MVC, Data JPA, Security, and Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, Lambda, CloudWatch.
• Practical experience deploying Java applications on Kubernetes or AWS EKS.
• Proficiency in containerizing Java applications with optimized Dockerfiles.
• Strong Postgres SQL skills for database design and querying.
• Proficient with GitLab workflows and version control best practices.
• Familiarity with LLMs and AI tools like Claude Code, Amazon Q, or Kiro.
