Description

You will lead Micro Reactor Control efforts by characterizing reactor and power conversion system behavior.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform steady state and transient analyses of the reactor, power conversion cycle, and support systems.
• Develop analysis workflows and document them in analysis plans following QA programs.
• Establish and perform plant modeling using MATLAB/Simulink for component sizing, operating ranges, and accident analyses.
• Propose design and control solutions to system engineers based on analytical insights.
• Write technical reports to document models.

Required Skills

• Nuclear operational plant experience with strong knowledge of reactivity control.
• Experience working with or for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) or commercial nuclear experience.
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's in a STEM field with 12 years of experience, Master's with 10 years, or PhD with 8 years.
• MATLAB/Simulink development experience.
• Programming experience in C#, C++, Python, VisualBasic, or MATLAB.

Preferred Skills

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Advanced degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Familiarity with industrial process control, control theory, power systems, or thermal energy equipment.
