Description

You will own the design, configuration, and operational maintenance of enterprise-level DNS systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise DNS systems ensuring high availability and performance.
• Configure and manage DNS zones, including domain transfers and complex DNS migrations.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to streamline DNS operations.
• Investigate and adopt new technologies to address evolving infrastructure needs.
• Resolve production problems and assist in a 24/7 operational environment.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with ISC Bind or similar DNS technologies.
• Proven experience deploying and managing IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions.
• Expertise in managing large-scale DNS systems with deep knowledge of zone configuration.
• Advanced understanding of DNS protocols and techniques.
• Solid coding experience with Python, Ruby, Perl, or Java, including API integration.
• Experience with automation or configuration management using Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with version control systems like git or Subversion.
• Demonstrable knowledge of multi-tiered, highly available application design.
• Ability to perform network analysis using tcpdump or Wireshark.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with RedHat and/or Windows operating systems.
• Intermediate understanding of application and server virtualization.
