Description

You will own infrastructure reliability and operational efficiency through automation and deep system knowledge.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Understand how commodity servers, operating systems, and networks function, perform, and scale.
• Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via automation.
• Design server monitoring and management solutions using automation and self-repair.
• Create processes to enhance operational workflow and provide customer impact.
• Resolve problems at their root, identifying failure patterns for long-term solutions via simplification and automation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience deploying and operating Linux or other UNIX variants in a datacenter environment.
• Proficiency in automation using Perl/Python programming and shell scripting.
• In-depth knowledge of standard internet protocols: Ethernet, ARP, IP, ICMP, UDP, TCP, SSL, DNS, HTTP.
• Strong system troubleshooting and problem analysis skills.
• Demonstrable grasp of security best practices in server configuration, tool development, and access controls.
• Experience building SQL queries.
• Frugal and out-of-the-box engineering mindset.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of C, C++ or Java.
• Understanding of AWS technologies or managing large-scale, geographically diverse server environments.
