Description

You will design, install, and optimize server infrastructure to support critical business applications across local, remote, and cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize server infrastructure to ensure high availability for city-wide applications.
• Configure new implementations and maintain critical services.
• Develop procedures for ongoing server environment management and maintenance.
• Oversee data center physical security, integrity, and safety.
• Coordinate with local departments to deliver critical IT services.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of VMware and data center operations.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure tools like AWS and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with version control systems like GitHub.
• Ability to build and test RESTful APIs.
• Strong debugging skills with minimal documentation.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hybrid cloud architectures.
